Ray Brown is proud to present a new assembly program that teaches the importance of reading, goal setting, and preparing for success – all intertwined in a 45-minute fast-paced magic show. Ray uses magic to hold the audience’s attention, while delivering these important messages. Specifically, Ray talks about the importance of reading, goal setting, why people should set goals, how goals can help you prepare for success, and how everyone can make reading fun. The show revolves around audience participation, because as we know, children don’t just want to sit and watch a show, they want to be part of it. Ray also offers plenty of opportunities for everyone to help out from their seats. All of the music and sound effects for the show are controlled by Ray through a remote system, which really adds a lot of production value to the show.
The fact that Ray is so young is what really makes this show unique. At his current age of 20, Ray knows exactly what it takes to capture a young audience’s attention. His youthful energy, and passion for success is something that all ages can relate to. His message is beneficial for all ages, but has been designed specifically for elementary audiences (but can be customized for older groups.)
“This is beyond a doubt an amazing performance by a truly amazing young man. Thank you Ray for adding to our successful summer reading program.”

“The Magic of Reading,” is a perfect show for school reading programs, Accelerated Reader celebrations, career days, assemblies and end-of-year reward programs. It’s also perfect for library summer reading programs and special events.
The goal of the performance is to promote a further developed interest in reading and education, and teach that dreams aren’t a matter of chance, but a matter of choice.
After the show, Ray will gladly answer questions from the stage about his career, his show, and all of the ideas that are brought up through his messages. He also offer interactive group magic lessons that can be conducted as an “add-on” to the show, where each child receives the props and instructions for three magic tricks they can learn then take home and perform!
“Thank you so much for making our AR Reward Party a huge success! The kids are still talking about the show and asking when you can come back. We have had different performers each year but none of them can top your show and professionalism. We loved the message behind it and will definitely have you back. Thanks again!”
